In an excerpt from William Bradfords, Of Plymouth Plantation, although they experience hardship in their voyage to America in their initial arrival and in their dealings with the Indians they still maintain their reverance to God and to one another.

People thought the day would never come when they saw an african american person become president. In this political cartoon, a white man and a black man are discussing about the polling place. This, you would think would mean they were talking about how long they had to stand in line to vote. Then, the african american man says he only had to wait a few hundred years. This is saying that he waited so long and finally an africaan american became president. in conclusion, the african american population are happy that their kind finally have a chance to show people what they are made of.

It's been a rough day. Spending all this time on a ship is tough. If I didn't have great shipmates that knew what they were doing then I wouldn't make it anywhere. I will be glad when I make it to land, because my shipmates and I are starting to get seasick and weary from being on this boat. Wait! I think I see land. Yes! we finally made it after all this time. I am so weak, but I am glad I made it. Thank you to all my shipmates for getting us all here.
